Nighttime Lane Closure and On/Off-Ramp Lane Closures of Various Locations on Interstate 80 (I-80) in Vallejo, Solano County

Starting July 14, 2026, from 08:00 PM to 05:00 AM the following day.

SOLANO COUNTY  – Caltrans Construction will be continuing the Trash Capture Project that requires nighttime lane closure of multiple locations. Closures will occur nightly starting on Tuesday July 14, 2026, at 08:00 PM to 05:00 AM the following day until set up completes Friday, July 17, 2026. This project will install trash capture systems that will stop trash from going out into water sources. It will also entail update of guardrails and construction of mainline pull outs for maintenance vehicles and erosion control.

Schedule:

Start – Monday, July 14, 2026, at 08:00 PM to 05:00 AM the following day
End- Friday, July 17, 2026

July 14 – 15, 2026
• Westbound route I-80 connector on-ramp from Route-780

 

July 16 – Grading of Maintenance Vehicle Pullouts (MVPs)
• Eastbound I-80 on-ramp from Magazine
• Westbound I-80 mainline near Redwood St.
• Westbound I-80 Off/On- Ramp to Tennessee St.
• 0.1 Mile West and East of Route 80/780 Separator
• Westbound I-80 off-Ramp to Columbus Prkwy.

 

July 17 – Removal of K-Rails
• Westbound connector On-Ramp from Route 780
• Westbound I- 80 mainline near Redwood St.
• Westbound I-80 Off-Ramp to Columbus Pkwy.
